A good headset should have comfort, style, and produce great audio. Of course, the extra features are always welcome, provided the basics are there.

Razer is a brand that gets it right more often than not, partly because of the wide range of products. There is the BlackShark Family for premium users; then there’s the Kraken Family including both high-end and mid-range products.

And lastly, the Barracuda X Series is for budget gamers and multi-platform users.

There’s no denying that Razer makes some of the best headsets with all the right features. The audio quality is top-tier. They bring comfort and style to a gaming setup at the most competitive prices.

That said, it’s difficult to choose the right one out of this big cluster. So, we are here to help. Here are the 9 best Razer gaming headsets and mobile headphones.

    Best Razer Headsets

    1. Razer Nari Ultimate

    Best RGB Razer Gaming Headset

    Razer Nari Ultimate

    Features Highlights

    • Razer Hypersense with haptic feedback
    • 360-degree THX spatial sound
    • Chroma RGB
    • Wired + 2.5GHz Wireless connectivity
    • Retractable mic

If you spend long hours wearing headsets, the Razer Nari Ultimate might be the perfect fit for you.

The auto-adjusting headband and ear cushions with cooling gel make Nari Ultimate the most comfortable headset. Moreover, because of the aluminum build, it’s also one of the lightest yet durable Razer headsets.

Its original price is $200, but right now, you can get it for as low as $120. The Nari Essential is a budget alternative for this, and there is also an Xbox Special Nari Ultimate on offer.

One slight issue with the Nari Ultimate is that you’ll have to manage the headset and its USB dongle. The 2.5GHz frequency is relatively new and found only in the latest consoles and PCs.

So, to connect wirelessly with the likes of PS3 or PS4, you need to plug in a small USB dongle. You can always use the 3.5mm audio jack too.

    Pros

    • Compatible with a variety of consoles
    • All controls are on the headset
    • Lightweight and durable
    • Auto-adjusting headband
    • Super comfortable ear cushion with cooling gel

    Cons

    • Underwhelming battery life

    Price: $120 On Amazon | $155 On Walmart | $120 On BestBuy

    2. Razer Thresher 7.1 For PS4

Budget but Comfy PS4 Razer Headset

    Razer Thresher 7.1 For PS4

    Features Highlights

    • Wireless and Wired connectivity
    • On-headset controls
    • Mic monitoring function
    • THX + Dolby sound
    • 50 mm sound drivers

Razer makes plenty of specialized headsets for every major console, and this one is for PS4.

The design and majority of features are specifically for PS4 users. It works with a PC and can connect to an Xbox One, but some features might not work.

For instance, voice chat might not work with Xbox One. So, you’ll be better off buying the Razer Thresher for Xbox.

Whether you go for the PS4 version or the Xbox version, the quality and features are there, and so is the weight.

You will feel the headset on your head because it weighs a little over 400 grams. Maybe that’s why they had to add the extra padding of leatherette in the ear cushions.

But for the weight, it’s super comfortable.

    Pros

    • Works with PC too
    • Leatherette + memory foam ear cushions
    • Retractable mic
    • Superb 16-hour battery life
    • Swiveling ear cups

    Cons

    • No ACN
    • Lousy hinges

Price: Around $99 On Amazon | $129 On Walmart | $143 On Newegg

    3. Razer Kraken X

    Lightest Razer Kraken Gaming Headset

    Razer Kraken X

    Features Highlights

    • Aluminum build
    • Positional audio with 7.1 Surround Sound
    • Oval cushions
    • Adjustable headband with plush memory foam padding
    • Cardioid bendable mic
    • 40 mm sound driver

Some prefer comfort over features, mostly those who have to spend hours and hours working from home or gaming.

With the Razer Kraken gaming headset, there is no need to choose one. The Kraken X is super-comfortable, has all the features, and won’t empty your wallet.

As per Razer, it’s 40% lighter than any other Razer headset. Its price cap is $50, yet it has features like Razer 7.1 surround sound, a noise-canceling mic, and excessive padding in the ear cushions and headband.

There are better-sounding headsets out there, but you won’t find any as comfortable as this one.

Then, looking at the price tag, all the competition falls apart. You know a headset is good when it wins the award for Best Value Headset at the E3 SlickDeals.

    Pros

    • Ultra cheap
    • Connect with PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and mobile phones
    • Ultra-light and super durability
    • Minimal headset controls
    • Noise-canceling mic

    Cons

    • No wireless connectivity

Price: Around $40 On Amazon | $50 On Walmart | $50 On BestBuy

    4. Razer Kaira Pro For Xbox

Best Razer Xbox Headset For Xbox One, Series X/S

    Razer Kaira Pro For Xbox

    Features Highlights

    • TriForce Titanium sound drivers
    • Chrome RGB
    • One-touch Xbox pairing button
    • Detachable mic
    • 4 equalizer settings
    • Built-in game sound and team chat balancer

The Razer Kaira for Xbox is one of the best headsets for any Xbox family console. Yes, it doesn’t have the best noise-canceling, but everything else is there.

It’s got surround sound, wireless and Bluetooth connectivity, aesthetic design along with a Chroma RGB, and 15 hours of battery power with a single charge.

Then there’s the impressive price tag. The closest competition to the Razer Kaira Pro headset is the SteelSeries Arctis 9X, and it only offers better battery life, for an extra $70.

Plus, the Kaira Pro has downloadable software that allows you to customize every single feature, including RGB, low bass, high-frequency trebles, and the lots.

    Pros

    • Two mics for dual communications
    • Fabric weave and FlowKnit memory foam
    • Connects to multiple devices at the same time
    • Minimal lag and latency
    • Wireless and Bluetooth connectivity

    Cons

    • The main mic is disappointing

Price: Around $120 On Amazon | $150 On Walmart | $100 On Target

    5. Razer Kraken

    Best Budget Razer Gaming Headset

    Razer Kraken

    Features Highlights

    • Software-enabled 7.1 surround sound
    • 50mm sound drivers
    • Ear cushions infused with cooling gel
    • Headsets controls on the wire
    • Retractable microphone

To be honest, there isn’t too much to review about the Razer Kraken. It’s just a basic headset for people who want a single headset for all their uses.

Given its cheap price and wired connectivity, there are fewer better options than the Razer Kraken.

After all, where else can you get a headset that works with your PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch, and mobile phone.

Then there’s the surround sound and super-soft ear cushions.

Even though these lack active noise cancelation, the ear cushions’ excessive padding does a great job at blocking out noise.

If you still want more features, you’re better off investing in the Tournament Edition.

    Pros

    • Works with everything that has a 3.5mm audio jack
    • Bauxite, aluminum build
    • Lightweight and durable
    • Cheap
    • Six color and design variants

    Cons

    • No wireless or Bluetooth connectivity

Price: Around $60 On Amazon | $70 On Walmart | $50 On BestBuy

    6. Razer Opus X

Best Bluetooth Razer Headset With The Lowest Latency

    Razer Opus X

    Features Highlights

    • Active Noise Cancellation
    • Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity
    • 60 ms latency in Gaming Mode
    • Built-in mics
    • Digital on-headset controls
    • Quick Attention mode

The Razer Opus X is a great gaming headset with great audio quality, but there’s just one problem- it only works with PCs and mobile phones.

It only has Bluetooth 5.0- no room for an audio jack or wireless connectivity, so it won’t connect to any of the consoles.

That said, it’s one of the best headsets for daily use. With Active Noise Cancelation and 40mm sound drivers, it’s great for music, movies, and PC & mobile gaming.

The built-in mics are high quality and help make crystal clear calls. And the compact form factor means they are easy to carry around when traveling.

When out and about, the Quick Attention mode lets in outside sounds so you are always aware of your surroundings.

There’s also the Gaming Mode to improve audio quality and minimize latency for an immersive gaming session.

    Pros

    • Easy and minimal controls
    • Superb bass
    • Good overall audio performance
    • Decent battery life
    • Lightweight and easy to carry around

    Cons

    • No audio jack or wireless connectivity

Price: Around $99 On Amazon | $99 On Walmart | $100 On Newegg

    7. Razer Hammerhead

Best Razor Headphones For Mobile Gamers

    Razer Hammerhead

    Features Highlights

    • Advanced Hybrid ANC
    • In-ear headphones
    • Quick Attention Mode
    • Advanced Gaming Mode
    • Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity
    • 60ms low latency

When Razer announced that they will be collaborating with THX and Comply, expectations were high.

And we are happy to say that they didn’t disappoint. These Razor headphones are perfect for mobile gamers, on-the-go streamers, and even better as daily drivers.

The Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity and Gaming Mode vastly improve performance when needed for some intense multiplayer gaming.

The highlight is the Advanced Hybrid ANC. THX certifies earbuds are super comfortable, and the buds produce anti-noise to provide the best noise-canceling.

You also get 6 different silicon tips to provide the perfect fit for everyone.

When it comes to power, the Hammerhead Pro lasts 4 hours with a single charge. The case holds 16 hours’ worth of charge, so technically these buds will last around 20 hours, which is decent considering the price.

    Pros

    • Amazing sound quality
    • IPX4 water-resistant
    • Auto ear detection
    • Equalizer app
    • Customizable touch/gesture controls

    Cons

    • Low-quality microphone

Price: Around $200 On Amazon | $170 On Walmart | $200 On BestBuy

    8. Razer Ifrit

An In-Ear Headset For Streamers & Broadcasters

    Razer Ifrit

    Features Highlights

    • Professional grade mic
    • Minimal and discreet design
    • Ergonomic and adjustable form factor
    • USB Audio Enhancer
    • Flat Frequency Response
    • Two 3.5mm jacks for dual-connectivity

Props to Razer for trying something unique, but the Razer Ifrit headset needs a lot of improvements before it can enter the gaming headset bracket.

There’s no surround sound, minimal noise cancelation, and it has a subpar sound driver. At the current price, you are better off buying any other gaming headset on this list.

But, it has its positives too. The biggest one is discreteness. Then the exoskeleton form factor makes it so minimal that it’s hard to tell what you are wearing.

The strain on your ears and head is minimal and the interchangeable bud tips mean it will fit every ear size.

Then there is the microphone- a professional-grade mic that reduces noise levels while you talk. You also simultaneously hear yourself in the earpieces.

So, even though Razer would love for us to accept Ifrit as a gaming headset, it’s more of a headpiece for streamers and broadcasters.

    Pros

    • Comfortable over-the-ear design
    • Flexible and lightweight frame
    • Adjustable mic
    • Compatible with Xbox One and PS4

    Cons

    • No Surround sound
    • Sounds sketchy at higher volumes

Price: Around $100 On Amazon | $100 On Walmart | $100 On Newegg

    9. Razer BlackShark V2 Pro

Best Overall Gaming Headset From Razer

    Razer BlackShark V2 Pro

    Features Highlights

    • Razer 7.1 THX surround sound
    • Triforce Titanium sound driver
    • Razer Synapse with Hyperclear Supercardioid mic
    • 40 feet wireless connectivity range

Right now, the BlackShark V2 Pro is the best overall Razer headset. Features like THX 7.1 surround sound and TriForce Titanium 50mm sound drivers are the cherries on the top. But, the major attraction is versatility.

The V2 Pro works wirelessly only with Windows 10. But, using the 3.5mm audio jack, it connects with all modern-day consoles, any entertainment unit, and mobile phones.

Wired usage has one downside- no Razer 7.1 surround sound. The Razer Synapse is still there, though.

All in all, it is a premium headset with all the right features. If it feels overpriced, you can always choose the BlackShark V2.

    Pros

    • Superb sound quality
    • Detachable mic
    • Breathable foam in the ear cushions
    • Adjustable headband
    • 24 hours battery life

    Cons

    • Expensive
    • No ANC(Active Noise Cancellation)

Price: Around $180 On Amazon | $180 On BestBuy | $180 On Walmart

    Conclusion

Razer has quite a reputation among gamers. Their products range from high-end gaming PCs to gaming mouses and everything in between. We just hope they continue to improve and make the best gaming accessories.

We’ll be continuously updating this lineup with price changes and new releases, so make sure to visit again.
