AFK Arena is always releasing new and fascinating heroes to keep the gameplay interesting.

A simple adjustment to your regular lineup may get you through difficulty while making previous bouts more difficult. It’s just the nature of how any five units synergize with each other.

AFK Tier Rankings

The finest AFK Arena heroes are usually ones that surpass others in situations where they should not.

If they can deliver significant damage to eliminate a possible counterattack before it has a chance to do its job, they’ll likely rise to the top of the AFK tier list.

The AFK Arena hero Tier list is ranked as below:

1. Tier S+ – Ample.
2. Tier S/S-  Excellent, the foundation of many teams.
3. Tier A+/A/A- Good, but not exceptional.
4. Tier B+/B – Underused, Average.
5. Tier C – Subpar, rarely used.
6. Tiers D/E/F – These are not worth considering.

• PvP – Features the Legends’ Challenger Tournament, Legends’ Championship, and Arena of Heroes.
• Boss – Guild Bosses, Twisted Realm.

AFK Arena Hero Tier List (End Game Content)

Our AFK tier list presumes that heroes have a level of 500 or above. 5* Ascended, Mythic+ Gear, 9 Mythic Furniture & +30 SI are all available.

Whereas the list is geared toward the endgame, it is best utilized to assess the overall strength and lifespan of heroes throughout the game.

List of Early – Mid Game Tiers

There’s a lower-tier list of heroes below the main AFK tier list. If you’re just starting out or below Chapter 15, we’ve also included a Heroes tier list- to guide you on the heroes you should create here to advance quickly.

Those AFK Arena heroes become ineffective in the late game, but they’ll carry you well enough in the opening chapters and are therefore worthwhile.

S Tier

Talene

Talene is special in all aspects of the gameplay. She is extremely effective, adaptable, and adds to every group benefit.

Talene will frequently surpass heroes with ascension levels higher than hers. Consider her crucial to your squad that’s if you’re fortunate to have her at a good ascension tier.

Rowan

Rowan can just achieve this tier using his Iconic equipment at 30+, which requires a significant resource input, yet being the only underground unit to do so, well deserved.

Athalia

Athalia is the poorest unit in the S+ tier in the end game, yet she would comfortably remain in the S tier even after falling off.

A Tier

Shemira

Shemira loses power as the gameplay progresses, yet she’s so vital to mid-game teams that placing her elsewhere (than the S tier) would be disingenuous.

She’s among the strongest troops in the game when leveled up, and she can hold her own as a roleplayer for an extended period.

Ferael

Farael can be the most difficult carry in AFK Arena.

Saurus

Quite strong when compared to Wrizz & Soren.

Eluard

Eluard appears to be in good shape, he features in the A Tier until we see more of him.

Tasi

Tasi is hardly the most universal unit compared to the rest since she fails miserably versus guild bosses.

But, her value is evident in situations with persistent crowd control skills to flip the tables in battle.

Thoran

Missing his distinctive item, Thoran is a weak unit, BUT his trademark item, he may be resourceful in cheating several late-game stages. It would be a daunting task to complete without him.

List of Mid Game Tiers

If you’re new to the game or if you’re yet to get to Chapter 15, here we look into the heroes worth creating.

While some heroes cannot be ascended and cannot be used late game, others are just insufficiently effective for the endgame yet perform admirably early in the gameplay; don’t overlook them:

Saveas

Saveas is a crazy carry hero early in AFK Arena, thus you should ascend & use him as a carry hero.

The best part is that you may utilize him later in the game as a fodder hero for rising other Mauler heroes.

Brutus

Brutus is another crucial hero in the early game. He causes massive damage and can carry you alone- his invincible capability elevates him to beast status.

Likewise in the late game, there are instances when he can be useful, albeit most heroes can counter him easily, even nullifying his damage.

Rowan

He is THE hero to build throughout the gameplay ( early to late)- He’s extremely effective.  It’s fairly simple to create him early- go ahead and do so! 

He’s practically core to either of the game’s team configurations at any level.

AFK Arena Best Heroes

Ainz Ooal Gown

Boasts impressive percentage damage & stuns, making him the daddy of all carry heroes; the farther you progress in the game, the stronger Ainz becomes. Without a doubt, investing in him will be a wise decision.

The rationale he only falls short of the top spot in our tier list for being a bit fragile, and it’s likely that some configurations just disable him.

Albedo

Ainz’s accomplice in crime is Albedo; they usually run alongside. Admittedly, Albedo makes a great hero, but he’s also reliant on Ainz.

If Ainz isn’t that good against a specific setup, Albedo is also becoming less useful, therefore rating her all by herself proved difficult.

Alna

Aina is an absolute must-have character, notably in the late and end-game. She’s extremely adaptable and makes your entire squad much stronger whilst being quite reliable.

Anoki

Anoki is a much-anticipated hero on his release, disappointingly turns out to be neither adaptable nor powerful. He is more like a hero who is useful in specific instances in Faction Tower but isn’t a necessity.

Antandra

Especially when partnered alongside Skreg, Antandra may be devastating, but you have to actively invest in her.

Admittedly, she’s a fine hero to utilize in Faction Tower, but only appears in a few specialized roles in the endgame.

Arthur

Arthur does have a tremendous early to mid-game team effort alongside Gwyneth, considering you can connect him and get an ascended hero straight away is incredibly wonderful, thus obtaining him is crucial.

Later on, he’ll lose effectiveness because he does not provide much help to the squad and cannot stay on the battleground for longer.

Astar

Astar’s quick damage reduction for all allies immediately as the combat begins, along with her resilience to control abilities, makes her fantastic versus brutal setups such as direct counter heroes teamed with strong bursts. This increases your squad’s survivability in the early moments, and she often gives healing & burning that isn’t too horrible.

Let us see how she grows, but I believe she might be ranked higher in the coming months, so acquire and create her; you won’t be sorry.

Baden 

Baden shines best while battling bosses, where you can layer up his shadows, causing them to build the damage & start inflicting tremendous quantities. Also diverts attention away from your team’s superiors.

However, in the standard game, he is unable to build them successfully enough to reach the top of the tier list.

Belinda 

Belinda is for sure a hero capable of significant damage & eliminating opponent teams early and mid-game.

Her end-game job, on the other hand, has been to bless Ainz or Khazard, and as they suffer a fall in meta, Belinda’s usefulness is reducing in AFK Arena’s end game.

Overall, she’s a terrific hero to utilize until the late game, and effective in a variety of situations.

Brutus

Brutus  is a powerhouse in the early game and quite strong in the mid-game. In the late game, he simply falls short of damage & survivability, + his shield could be destroyed by plenty of abilities to help him rank high, and a hero needs more.

Still, he may play a useful role against a team that can’t prevent his last gasp ability so you need to deal with some incredibly heavy burst damage.

Celestial Twins

The twins are heroes who frequent the top-of-tier lists and enjoy priority due to their excellent and effective assistance.

This is truly the case, but as the gameplay progresses; they are surpassed by other heroes and become less effective. 

Are they worth your investment? Sure, but please remember that other hypogean/celestial heroes are more effective.

Daimon

Daimon is a very interesting hero that can be found in a variety of meta endgame settings.

He’s viable and can stack and over-roll opposition teams quite effectively, particularly late in the game as the level cap rises. Daimon is unquestionably the most invested-in hero.

Desira

Desira possesses several intriguing abilities and is immune to crowd control, although she is not as deadly as Silas.

It’s difficult to predict her growth in the coming seasons, but let’s see if she’s moving up the tier rankings any soon.

Drez

Drez is similar to Cecilia in that he will become worthless in the late/end game since he is no longer useful.

I wouldn’t advocate investing in him save for particular setups in Faction Tower, and you’d need to be quite well along in your hero lineup to be at that stage.

Eironn

Eironn is a fantastic hero, notably late game, and may be seen in a variety of meta-team configurations.

He’s a wonderful long-term asset because even though he’s a bit soft in the mid, an investment in his Signature Item & furniture will get him incredibly more powerful.

Eluard

Eluard is a comparatively recent hero who’ll become one of the better Lightbearer faction heroes in the late game.

Ezio is a fantastic hero, and obtaining him and investing in him makes perfect sense because you can cheese with him plus his ability to survive the battle is quite strong, particularly later in the game.

Ezizh

Ezizh’s value in PvE is limited to a few specialized instances when you need to silence the other team, but some stronger heroes will outmatch him.

In the late game, he simply dies too rapidly to be worth the high expenditure. He’s a very crucial hero in PvP, therefore utilizing your Challenger Medals to obtain him is indeed a good idea.

Fawkes

Fawkes excels in the mid-game as well as a Faction Tower, though, concerning the end/late game tier list for PvE, he’s only a niche hero to put an adversary in his coffin.

However, the prerequisites are extremely high and he won’t be durable enough to fulfill a major investment in his furniture set and Signature Item.

Ferael

Ferael is a hero that can shut opposing heroes by letting his shadows devour and ignore their energy output once you invest in his Signature Item & furnishings.

Framton

Granit is an intriguing tank that performs well early in AFK Arena yet falls off in the late game.

Grezhul

Each Hero in AFK Arena is a member of a faction. There’re 7 factions, all with their unique set of benefits & weaknesses when compared to other factions. The 4 main factions are the Maulers, Lightbearers, Graveborn, and Wilders.
