How To Complete “Postman Pat” Part 1 & 2 Quest In Tarkov (EFT)

The Postman Pat is a quest made available to players after they’ve attained Level 10. Part 1 of this questline is initiated by the NPC called Prapor, and Part 2 of the questline is given to us by the NPC Therapist.

The Postman Pat is perhaps one of the most convoluted quest lines within the game, and thus rightfully deserves a guide to be made to ensure players do not miss out on completing it and gaining some sweet loot. 

Primary Objectives Postman Pat- Part 1

The main objective, as always, is to retrieve an item of interest to an NPC and deliver it to another. In this particular instance, the item of interest is a letter written by Prapor that was lost somewhere within the Factory and needs to be obtained as well as delivered to its intended recipient, the Therapist.

The objectives then are as follows: 

1. Obtain the “Sealed Letter” quest item by looting the dead body of the Messenger found in the Factory Map. 
2. Fight through the PVP heavy Factory map and extract without dying or losing the quest item. 
3. Finally, the questline is completed once the “Sealed Letter” has been successfully delivered to the Therapist NPC. 

Where to Find the Sealed Letter? 

The “Sealed Letter” quest item can be found on the body of a messenger inside of a bunker on the main floor of the Factory map.

In order to identify precisely the bunker that the player has to search, make sure to look for a wall where it says in large numbers “1986.”

Precisely below the wall that reads “1986” there will be the bunker which we have to enter. Make your way to the left side of the bunker, enter it through the door and you can find the dead messenger scav. 

The “Sealed Letter” quest item can be found in the shirt collar of the Dead Scav shown above. So players should make sure that they check the body’s shirt collar and not the loot container part. 

Extractions in Postman Pat- Part 1

Once the quest item “Sealed Letter” has been obtained players must ensure that they safely extract out of the Factory map or else they will lose their obtained item, and will be required to respawn onto the map and re-retrieve it. In order to save you the hassle of having to do that here are our recommendations for extracts you can safely and quickly access: 

1. Med Tent Gates Extract

This is an extremely efficient extraction point especially if the player has the Factory Emergency Exit Key (which we recommend that you always take along with you into any run of the Factory map).

Players can simply exit out of the bunker and head straight until they reach what very obviously looks like medical tents strung up in a corner.

Enter then and use the key to extract. This is perhaps the safest and quickest extract if you are attempting to complete the Postman Pat quest Part 1. 

2. Gate 0 Extraction 

This is another great extraction location. This is because it is always available to the player and is not a single-use extract. 

Additionally, the extraction point is very near the bunker where you obtained the “Sealed Letter.” 

Simply make your way outside of the bunker and turn around and move to the right side of the bunker. Once there you will enter into a large connected space whereupon turning left and moving straight you will reach the Gate 0 Extraction. 

The Rewards for completing Postman Pat- Part 1 

The brilliant fact about this questline is that you can double the rewards for completing the main section which is Part 1 and the exceptionally easy Part 2. The Part – 1 reward, however, is as follows: 

1. The player gains a total of 5,900 EXP
2. The player additionally gains Rep with Prapor worth 0.02 
3. The player also receives about 40,000 Roubles
4. Roubles received can increase based on Intelligence Centre Level

Level 1: 42,000 Roubles

Level 2: 46,000 Roubles

5. The player also receives a 1× ANA Tactical Beta 2 Battle backpack
6. And finally, the player receives 1× 6B2 armor (Flora)

Primary Objective Postman Pat- Part 2 

The objective for Postman Pat Part 2 is simple. Once you have obtained the “Sealed Letter” as instructed by Prapor in the previous part and safely extracted out of the Factory you will be able to access this quest from the Therapist.

All players have to do is hand the Therapist the “Sealed Letter” item to complete the quest and receive the rewards. 

The Rewards for completing Postman Pat- Part 2

The rewards for part 2 of the Postman Pat quest are as follows: 

1. The player receives a total of 3,500 EXP
2. The player also gains 0.02 Rep with the Therapist 
3. The player receives 5,000 Roubles
4. The Roubles have a chance to increase based on Intelligence Centre Level
   1. Level 1: 5,250 Roubles
   2. Level 2: 5,750 Roubles
5. The player also unlocks the ability to purchase Salewa First Aid Kit from the Therapist after completing the quest.
