Battle Reams Now In 4K? Smoother Gameplay, Improved AI, and much more!

Who would have guessed Battle Realms in 4K? All of us never expected that!

Battle Realms, now known as Battle Realms: Zen Edition, has received a massive upgrade on Steam that is sure to evoke nostalgic memories for those 90s kids who enjoyed playing it. The update features DirectX 3D 9 graphics API, 4K resolution compatibility, and online gaming optimization.

Other newly added resolutions

The much-loved strategy game, Battle Realms: Zen Edition, has recently received an upgrade that includes a plethora of brand-new features and enhancements. Players may now relive their favorite moments from the game in breathtaking 4K resolution, which brings the world of Battle Realms to life in a way that has never been seen before. 1152 x 864, 1280 x 720, 1280 x 960, 1366 x 768, 1600 x 900, 1600 x 1200, 2048 x 1080, 2560 x 1080, 2560 x 1440, and 3840 x 2160 are the new resolutions that have been added (4K). They also mentioned that the user interface may appear stretched on some resolutions that are not 4:3 or 5:4 in aspect ratio.

Battle Realms in 4K brings smoother gameplay

In addition, enhancements have been made to the textures through the use of neural upscaling technology, and the majority of the visual effects have been rebuilt. The 3D polygons have not changed, but the textures have been given a new look that improves how they seem when viewed at a greater resolution. Additionally, their artists performed manual adjustments to further improve the quality of the visual experience.

Game API significantly improved

The game’s graphics application programming interface (API) has also been changed from Direct 3D7 to Direct 3D9, which has resulted in a more stable and fluid gameplay experience. This update also adds optimizations for online gameplay, which makes it simpler for players to connect with one another and compete against one another, similar to how things used to be done in the good old days during LAN Parties.
