Jeremy Renner’s Trainer Reveals Actor’s Recovery Process after Snow Plow Accident

Jeremy Renner‘s trainer, Christopher Vincent, recently shared with People magazine details of the actor’s physical therapy following his snow plow accident in January.

Jeremy Renner was left hospitalized with blunt chest trauma, orthopedic injuries, and over 30 broken bones in his body. Almost three months later, Jeremy Renner walked the red carpet with a cane at the world premiere of his Disney+ series Rennervations.

Unique and Rare Personality

Vincent, a chiropractic sports physician, and trainer who has been working with Jeremy Renner since 2011 said that the actor has an extraordinary personality.

Jeremy Renner’s trainer added that he has worked with hundreds and thousands of athletes, celebrities, and regular people, but the actor’s drive and determination stand out.

Vincent said Renner has the ability to get through tough situations and come out stronger.

Vincent said that Renner’s pain in the first few weeks after the accident was excruciating.

With over 30 broken bones, Renner’s body was sending pain signals to his brain from every part of his body.

Vincent said that when you’ve got 30 broken bones, you can’t override the pain signals.

The pain was happening 24 hours a day, so Renner was not getting any relief even while sleeping.

Therapy and Full Rehab

To start Renner’s physical therapy, Vincent put the actor on an anti-inflammatory diet and gave him supplements that help reduce inflammation and the pain signals to get to his brain.

Renner was also meditating and trying to calm himself to override the pain. Vincent would move Renner’s shoulders, hips, and limbs while he was in bed to keep the joints from freezing up and to keep him moving.

Christopher Vincent turned Renner’s home into a full rehab center.

Rehab equipment included an exercise bike and the NASA-developed Boost Treadmill, an anti-gravity treadmill that changed the amount of weight Renner could put on his limbs while walking.

Renner posted videos on Instagram of both machines during his rehab. Vincent said they started shipping equipment to Renner’s house, and Renner’s mother was confused about what some of the machines were for.

Lack of Sleep

Renner’s lack of sleep was affecting his recovery. The pain was constant, and it was affecting his ability to get restful sleep.

Vincent said that Renner was trying to meditate to calm his mind and help him sleep.

Vincent also said they were trying to fire off some signals in Renner’s body by moving his joints to keep him from freezing up and to keep him moving.
