Actress Vanessa Hudgens’ New Documentary Explores Her Fascination with Witchcraft

Actress Vanessa Hudgens has always been interested in the supernatural, and now she is sharing her journey of self-discovery in her new documentary, Dead Hot.

The film, which was released on Tubi on Friday, follows Hudgens and her best friend, musician GG Magree, as they delve into the world of witchcraft and the supernatural in Salem, Massachusetts.

First Conscious Witchy Awakening

In an interview with InStyle, Hudgens revealed that her “first conscious witchy awakening” happened while filming one of her Princess Switch movies for Netflix.

She said, “I’ve always felt really connected in a way I could never explain. I was learning about the history of the women who were wrongfully accused of witchcraft and learning about what witchcraft even is.”

Hudgens shared that her first supernatural experience happened when she was around five years old. She saw a tin duck sculpture in her home move on its own.

“I just kinda tried to forget about it because there’s no explanation,” she said. She also mentioned seeing a man in a top hat out of the corner of her eye while at home alone, which scared her.

She tried to “turn off that channel” for a while until she felt safe enough to explore her spirituality.

Embracing Her Curiosity

Vanessa Hudgens has always been curious about the supernatural and has referred to herself as a witch in past social media posts.

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, she said that she will continue to explore spirituality in future projects. “This is such a big part of who I am, and now that I’m bringing it to the light, I feel like I don’t have to hide. And my curiosity is endless, so there’ll definitely be a lot more.”

Hudgens believes that spirituality is a beautiful, evolving relationship that evolves with you. “There is no right or wrong, there’s no rule book.

It evolves with you and you have to trust your intuition to guide you,” she said. Her interest in the supernatural and witchcraft is a big part of who she is, and she is excited to share her journey with her fans.

‘Dead Hot’ Documentary

Dead Hot is Vanessa Hudgens’ latest project, and it has been in the works since October of last year.
