BTS member Jimin’s scheduled live appearance on SBS’s Inkigayo has been canceled following heated debates over his ‘off-key’ live singing during the encore stage on Mnet’s M! Countdown. Jimin was originally set to perform live on the Inkigayo broadcast, where his comeback title track, Like Crazy, was set to compete as a first-place nominee. However, only a pre-recorded performance of Jimin’s Like Crazy stage will be aired on the April 2 broadcast of ‘Inkigayo,’ and the artist will not be present during the live broadcast.
The Controversy Surrounding Jimin’s Off-Key Singing
After Jimin won his first #1 trophy on a music program with Like Crazy during the March 30 broadcast of M! Countdown, some netizens claimed he was singing “off key” during his encore stage. This sparked a heated debate online, leading Mnet to delete Jimin’s encore stage video from YouTube.
Despite the controversy, Jimin broke his record on the UK’s Official Charts. On March 31, the United Kingdom’s Official Charts announced that Like Crazy had debuted on the Official Singles Chart at No. 8, making Jimin the highest-charting K-pop soloist.
Jimin’s Successful Debut Album

Hanteo Chart reported that FACE sold over a million copies on its first day, making it the first album by any solo artist in Hanteo history to reach this milestone.
