From the very beginning, Destiny Child was overflowing with options: four play modes, hundreds of recruitable characters, and a vault full of gears to pick from.
Then each character has their own role, variance, skills, stats, powers, rarity, levels, and elements. It’s easy to get lost in the sea of options available to you.
Our Destiny Child tier list is made to give you a goal for which characters you should be aiming to level up with highlights about why some Childs are either higher or lower on the tier list.
It should be noted that each Child excels at a few of the game modes (PvE, PvP, Raid, and World Boss), but none are perfect at all four. So, we will be judging the top Childs based on their overall power between the four modes.
Destiny Child Tier List
S- Tier
These are your long-term goals when you start playing Destiny Child because they are simply the best in the game. No other character can compete in these Child’s respective roles in your team composition.
Chang’e – Best Attacker
Not only does Chang’e have high, raw damage output, but her Slide has the bonus of quickly charging the Skill Gauge and reducing the cooldown of her ally’s Slides.
Her Tap and Slide alone are strong enough to get Chang’e to A-Tier, but her Drive having a Stun effect pushes her above the strong competition of Attackers and rise to S-Tier.
Mona – Best Defender
The key to a great tank is the Taunt ability. Without it then your team will quickly fall apart. Mona excels at triggering Taunt with her 84% activation chance on the Slide, but she also raises her own defenses and even grants Barriers to her allies.
Bathory – Best Debuffer
If you find your team having trouble getting past the other side’s defenses, whether that be another player or a Boss, then Bathory’s Blood Reception and Bloody Oath will help you breakthrough with both her Tap and Slide abilities targeting their Defense stat.
Maat – Best Healer
Not many Childs can revive a character that was taken out in a fight, but Maat’s Drive, I’ll Save This Soul, can.
It is a pivotal moment in a battle to bring back key members of your team, such as reviving your Defender so that you can relieve pressure off your Attackers and Debuffers.
It’s this strong Drive that puts her above the other supporting roles that can put out high rates of heals, like Pomona.
Neptune – Best Support
Neptune can do a little bit of everything and does it well. Not only does she pump out heals and boost the charging speed of the skill gauge, but the damage she dishes out is comparable to Childs in the Attacker Role.
A – Tier
It will take time to get the S-Tier Childs and have them be at full power, but until then, A-Tier Childs will certainly pull their weight.
Some in this tier can outperform their role equivalents in S-Tier and the only reason they are in A instead of S is that they only do one of the four-game modes perfectly while everyone in S can overperform in multiple modes.
Not every child from here on will get a highlight section, there are far too many in the game to do that. Only the ones who have something notable to say about them will get one.
Pomona
Pomona is one of the highest output healers there are, even better than Neptune. But, what has Pomona in A-Tier is her lack of revival than Neptune has. Still, depending on your team’s makeup, taking Pomona could be the stronger move.
Pantheon
Pantheon is an interesting Support role. If you build your team around high Critical Damage and spiking attacks, then Pantheon should find a spot in your PvP and World Boss roster.
Salome
If I were to rank Salome against all Attackers, she would be in second place, right behind Chang’e. While Salome has a higher, raw damage output than Chang’e, it’s Chang’e ability to quickly fill up the skill gauge that makes her more useful in any given team than Salome.
Dana
If Dana had Taunts, then she would easily make it in the S-Tier for the Defender slot instead of Mona. But, even without Taunt, her Barrier absorption and Defense boost to your allies with the lowest health can save against a team wipe all by itself.
Syrinx
The Fortitude skill being given out like candy certainly is useful, especially against physical Drive skills, but otherwise, Childs like Maat or Pomona will be your better go-to, especially when you head into a world boss event.
Thisbe
If you don’t have a Child that can quickly fill the skill gauge, then Thisbe can be a good fit, especially when paired with a Child with a high attack stat. While nullifying debuffs and temporarily granting Immortal is fine,
I rather have one of those effects be replaced with a heal to help round out Thisbe’s kit as a Support.
Saturn
There are plenty of great Attackers in Destiny Child, and Saturn is one of them. But she is specialized to be against Light type targets. So, if you find yourself going against more Light enemies, then swapping in Saturn for your main Attacker can be the edge you need.
This could be said for lots of Attacker roles that single out a single element type, such as Thanatos. Choosing the right Child for the job is critical for success.
The Other A Tiers
- Eve
- Astraea
- Bastet
- Thanatos
B – Tier
While A-Tier Childs have a few strong game modes and are ok at others, B-Tier is ok in most game modes, but with the right team backing them up, they can compete with stronger Childs. But being good in a niche area doesn’t make a Child amazing to fill every team’s needs.
Tiamat
The auto-attack for Tiamat is below the curve for an Attacker, but with her Tap, Slide, and Drive slamming the enemy with Defense stat debuffs helps make up for the lost damage. If you don’t have a strong debuffing Child, Tiamat can be the second Attacker on a team and fill in that missing spot.
Hildr
If you only play in PvP, then Hildr is a fine Attacker with her abilities to sneak in extra damage at the enemy’s lowest health character. Additionally, she gets around taunts and ignores some of their defense. But just being super in one game mode is not enough to raise her above B-Tier.
Rita
A unique Debuffer that hits a wide array of debuffs, but most interesting is the Death Heal which is devastating in PvP on teams that run high output Healers like Pomona.
But Rita starts to suffer the classic “Jack of All Trades, Master of None” problem that makes her a neat trick but stops her from rising to A-Tier.

Nicole - Saladin
- Leda
- Abaddon

C-Tier
With so many B-Tier and better childs, and recruitable characters out there, you won’t be spending a lot of time with any other characters once you can move past them.
But there are a few notable highlights below that fill their niche or have strong interactions with the Childs above. Interesting ones are spotlighted below.
Werewolf
A support that can combo with Pantheon in obtaining high criticals that trigger more often. Pair them with a Dark Attacker like Saturn for a strong combo that will tear up the enemy.
Naias
Another Child that boosts how fast you can charge your skill gauge, but additionally slows down your opponents. Having a Supporter with a debuff Slide is unique, if your team is missing a traditional Debuff role, then Naias can be a decent substitute.
Mars
With the right buffs, Mars can fill the role of Defender and pseudo support. Simply giving her a higher attack speed will see Mars punch above her weight. But other Defenders don’t need extra support to make the best of their abilities.

Characters that simply aren’t worth playing. You may get them early on but you should quickly switch to the higher tier Childs above. Either they have a bad combination of effects and skills, or some other Childs do their roles better. Some examples are listed below.

If you have a Child you think is underrated, then I encourage you to build a team around them and take advantage of your discovery
What makes a good team composition?
But in general, you want a well-balanced team first, then you try to find and work in synergies between the Childs.
You likely want a strong Attacker, a Defender, and a Healer. With a team of five, you then have some wiggle room to experiment.
Maybe you want a second Attacker and a Support that will increase the effectiveness of both your Attackers. This will give you a very aggressive team that excels in dealing out damage.
You also want to keep an eye out for Childs that enable you to quickly fill your drive skill gauges. Drive abilities are game-changing, so the more you can trigger in a fight, the better off you’ll be.
