At a Microsoft press conference at GamesCom in Cologne, Lionhead Studios and Microsoft boss Peter Molyneux announced that Fable 3 will be coming to Xbox 360 in 2010. The game itself is the third chapter in the series and Molyneux commented “The third child is always the problem child,” before going on to say “Fable III will be new, fresh and different. I think there’s something fundamentally wrong with RPGs like Fable. The mechanics have been around since the ‘80s. I’m going to take that foundation and throw it away.”
The game itself seems to be set around the player being the ruler of Albion with the first few levels of the game being set around overthrowing the existing ruler, all exciting stuff for lovers of the RPG series from Lionhead Studios.
