The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has revealed its fall series schedule for WSOP Europe, following a historic edition at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip. The initial international stops for the 2023-24 WSOP Circuit (WSOP-C) have also been announced.
WSOP Europe Returns to King’s Resort
In its 14th season, the 2023 WSOP Europe is scheduled to take place at King’s Resort Casino, that offers Roulette, Baccarat and other slot games in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. The series will run from October 25 to November 15, culminating in the much-anticipated Main Event commencing on November 10.
Leon Tsoukernik, owner of King’s Resort, expressed his excitement about hosting the eminent tournament series once again. He said, “We’re absolutely thrilled to continue hosting the most prestigious tournament series in Europe, this year offering even higher guaranteed prize pools and new exciting events.” Tsoukernik also highlighted the resort’s commitment to providing unparalleled service and hospitality to all poker participants.
WSOP International Circuit Tour Kicks Off in London
The international leg of the WSOP-C for the 2023-24 season begins on August 13 in London. Eight confirmed stops have been scheduled so far, with additional locations to be announced soon on WSOP’s official website. Each champion from the live or online circuit events will not only earn a spot in the invitation-only “Tournament of Champions” event at the 2024 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas but will also receive a coveted WSOP gold ring.
This year’s series features 15 bracelet events, including the Main Event with a €10,000 ($11,007) buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of €5 million ($5.5 million). In 2022, the WSOP Europe Main Event set an attendance record with 763 participants, generating a staggering €7,248,500 ($7.9 million) prize pool.
Ty Stewart, WSOP Executive Director and Senior Vice President, commented on the recent surge in poker’s popularity. He said, “The buzz surrounding poker has surged following this year’s Main Event in Vegas. We’re not stopping at setting 12 new records. We expect the WSOP Europe to ride the momentum and break its Main Event record once again this year as players from around the globe try their hand in the richest, most prestigious sport in the world.”
