Starfield’s all over the web and Bethesda’s done it perfectly. If Early Access reviews are to go by, the game ‘runs’ on mid-spec PCs happily enough and the open world is open.
But it’s best for Xbox gamers tbh.
Xbox X and S have the necessary power to run Starfield in mid-to-high settings while maintaining a hugely respectable FPS. That’s just what Bethesda wanted, to make a good initial impression and build on it. But if you’re running Starfield on Xbox, you should think about getting a Starfield Xbox Controller or the Headset (or both). Why? Read on.
Starfield Xbox Controller and Headset: Limited Edition and Limited Time
First things first, you can buy the Limited Edition Starfield Xbox Controller and the Limited Edition Starfield Headset now. I’ve shared a list of retailers below. But you need to read this first.
Starfield Xbox Controller
Official Key Specs –
- Compatibility: Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Windows 10/11, Android, and iOS.
- Battery: AA batteries for up to 40 hours of battery life
The red-and-white hues are in tune with the Constellation-inspired color mark around the Xbox button. You also get transparent triggers with bronze rumble motors under them. I like the side and back grips that resemble spaceship panels. I love that streak of Starfield colors up top.
Overall, this is one of the best gaming-branded controllers from Xbox in years IMO. It’s priced at $79.99 but if you find it for less, get it.
Starfield Headset
Official Key Specs –
- Headband: Inner Steel Metal Band with Foam Cushioning
- Ear cushions: Oval Design with Polyurethane Leather and Foam Cushioning
- Mic Design: Bendable Boom with Dual Mics and Illuminated LED when Mic is On
- Speakers: 40mm, Paper composite diaphragm and neodymium magnet, 20Hz to 20kHz Response
- Battery: Internal, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, 15 hours life per charge, 4 hours life from 30 minutes charge, full charge in about 3 hours idle.
- Weight: 312 grams
If at all, the headset looks better than almost all other white headsets out there and the bronze accents are awesome. Starfield’s branding is minimalist brilliance at its best. And this headset packs a punch with its hardware too.
Right now, the headset is what’s available in most stores at $99.99. If you ask me, it is a good buy.
Is Starfield Free on Xbox?
Yes, if you are an Xbox Game Pass user. With an active Game Pass sub, you’ll get Starfield ready to run for you from the official release date on 6th September.
Will Starfield be on Xbox One?
Starfield will not be available natively for Xbox One users. A key performance requirement for Starfield is an SSD and that’s where the Xbox One will lose out to the new-gen Xbox Series X and S. But you can play Starfield on Xbox One. Dig in.
Can I play Starfield on Xbox One?
Yes, you can. All you need is an Xbox Ultimate subscription or an Xbox Cloud Gaming subscription and a powerful internet connection that’ll be able to deliver the required bandwidth for streaming Starfield via your Xbox One console. While Starfield is too advanced and demanding for Xbox One, you can still use your Xbox One to play Starfield by utilizing an Xbox Cloud Gaming subscription where most of the graphics and CPU brunt is taken care of by Xbox Cloud.
Starfield Xbox Series X Console Wrap
If you’re getting your Limited Edition Starfield Controller, you might also get the Xbox X Starfield Console Wrap.
Priced at $44.99, these are available for pre-order only. Currently, shipping availability has been pushed back all the way to November 10, 2023. (At this time.)
So, you might not get a chance to buy the Starfield Constellation Edition, but this and the Starfield Xbox Controller (and the Starfield headset maybe) are up for grabs.
It does look like Starfield has done all that it was supposed to get done. Early Access looks great so far and despite some users finding it hard to access Early Access, which is only obvious, graphics look just as good as Bethesda showed them and although gunplay was always so-so, I can’t wait to get my hands on shipbuilding and space dogfighting.
Best part is you can play Starfield on Xbox One, with the Starfield Xbox Controller and the Starfield Headset!
Where to Buy Starfield Xbox Controller?
Stocks will run out fast so keep an eye out for it or better still get it if you want to get it.
Where to Buy Starfield Headset?
This might just be the last restock for these headsets as they’re getting rave reviews.
Bethesda looks like they’ve got all points covered, from the game, to the hype, to collectible editions and finally, these Limited Edition Starfield Xbox Controller and Starfield Headset for the garnish. Get yours!
